Success and Failure Cycle
Failure is something everyone goes through inorder to be at the top. I have failed time and time and again, but I think that is what makes suceeding even better. When I first started to compete I won every competition that I competed in. I won for 1 year straight and then at one competition it changed. I came third. I was shocked, I was mad, I was sad and I hated it. It hurt for all of 1 day. The next morning I woke up ready and determined. I was going to analyze my videos and see what I did right and what I did wrong. The next competition I won.
I have learned to deal with my failure by looking at it from what I call the top angle. I take my fail and place it on the ground and I stand above and look down on it. I am on the top of it so I can see everything. I see the good parts and I see the bad parts. When looking at my failure from the top you can get a more clear view on what has gone wrong and the reason for the issue. This in turn allows me to come up with a plan to fix it. It has taken me a long time to be able to fix my problems on my own and learn from my mistakes but it is from all the times that I have fallen that has allowed me to stand taller than I did the day before.

I have seen failure and success throughout my entire career of gymnastics.
I see it when I am learning a new skill - mastering a skill takes a long time and sometimes you learn it and then lose it;
I see it when I try to make a correction - making a correction can be hard to do because mentally you might not be there and sometimes it makes the skill worse before it gets better;
I see it when I do my routines - Not every routine is going to be perfect and not everyday I will have the same energy as I did the last day, so sometimes my routines will be better or worse than the next;
I see it when I train - training is where mistakes and failures are meant to take place, it takes time and effort to do something right and I know that not everyday is going to be perfect but that is how I will get better and;
I see it when I compete - I do not win every meet and I do not hit 4/4 every meet but when your at the bottom there is only one way to go... up.
